Why Douglas

Technical credibility. Human story. Practical delivery.

Douglas’s technical journey began nearly 30 years ago through hands-on exploration of computers and software. His professional cybersecurity career began in 2013, and he has worked at the principal threat-hunting level since 2017 across threat intelligence, digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, OSINT, legal data preservation, and critical infrastructure.

He has helped develop and operationalize enterprise threat-hunting practices in Fortune 100 energy, nuclear-generation, and critical-infrastructure environments. Prior private-sector professional experience includes participation in the U.S. Secret Service-led Maryland Electronic Crimes Task Force. He is also a licensed North Carolina private investigator, adding evidence-focused investigative discipline to every program.

His path also includes homelessness, construction work, U.S. Air Force service during the Iraq War, technical support, digital forensics, and entrepreneurship. That combination gives audiences both credible technical insight and a human story about resilience, judgment, and responsible use of skill.
